Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-09-30 · published 2026-09-30 · version terms@2026-09-30
Language versions: the Korean version applies to users residing in the Republic of Korea and the English version to all other users (Terms of Service, Article 3(3)).
The AStrutTie store (the "Service") is a software-license checkout operated by Hangil IT Co., Ltd. (the "Company"); payments are processed through the Company's checkout service. These Terms govern the rights and obligations between the Company and users of the Service.
1. Purpose
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for the sale, payment, and issuance of digital software licenses and related services provided by the Company.
2. Definitions
- "Product" — a digital software license sold by the Company (perpetual or subscription).
- "License" — the electronic key/entitlement proving the right to use a Product.
- "Subscription" — a Product billed per term that renews automatically unless cancelled.
- "Term" — the period covered by a subscription charge; its last day is the "period end".
- "Renewal" — the charge for the next term at period end, continuing access.
- "Cancellation" — the user ending the subscription so that no further renewal is charged.
- "Expiry" — the subscription ending at period end without cancellation (no payment method on file, or renewal charges finally failed).
- "Seat" — the unit of concurrent users permitted under one license.
- "Merchant of Record (MoR)" — the reseller (Paddle) that acts as seller for international transactions and handles tax, payment, refunds, and disputes on the Company's behalf.
- "Payment Gateway (PG)" — the provider (e.g., Toss Payments) that processes domestic Korean card and easy-pay transactions.
3. Effect and Amendment
These Terms take effect when posted within the Service.
The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law, giving prior notice of the effective date and the changes.
These Terms are provided in Korean and English and the two versions are intended to have the same meaning. In the event of any discrepancy, the Korean version applies to Users residing in the Republic of Korea and the English version applies to other Users.
4. Seller and Products
For international (non-Korea) transactions, the seller is Paddle acting as Merchant of Record; receipts and tax are issued and handled by Paddle.
For transactions within the Republic of Korea, the seller is the Company; payment is processed through a domestic payment gateway and Korean tax documents are issued.
5. Payment and Tax
Users pay via card or other supported methods. Card entry and storage are handled directly by a PCI DSS-certified processor; the Company's servers never receive or store raw card data.
Currency and VAT/GST are determined and shown based on the user's country at the payment step. The final amount shown at checkout includes the tax applicable to that transaction.
For domestic Korean transactions the Company issues Korean tax documents; users who need a business tax invoice must provide the required details (e.g., business registration number) at checkout or through support. For international transactions, receipts and tax documents are issued by the Merchant of Record (Paddle).
6. Software License — Issuance, Ownership, and Use
Upon payment confirmation, a license is issued automatically and delivered on screen and by email.
All intellectual property rights in the software and its accompanying documentation, trademarks, and other materials belong to the Company or to third parties that have licensed them to the Company (licensors). By purchasing a Product, the user acquires only the license set out in these Terms (the right to use the software under the license) and does not acquire ownership of the software or any other intellectual property right.
The license is non-exclusive and non-transferable (Article 12) and may be exercised only within the contracted seats, term (without time limit for a perpetual license), and product scope. Users must not share the license key with third parties, circumvent the software's technical protection measures, or copy, reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the software, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
Models, design results, files, reports, and other output that the user creates with the software belong to the user. The Company processes user output only to the extent needed to provide the Service, maintain security, and comply with law, and does not use it to train models for other customers. Content the user enters into the AI review assistance feature, and the results it returns, are handled on the same basis. Where the Company uses a third-party AI service to provide the feature, it passes such content to that provider only as needed to provide the feature and contractually prohibits the provider from using it to train models. The AI service providers the Company uses are disclosed on the data policy page (https://www.astruttie.com/trust). Responsibility for reviewing and using output is governed by Article 17.
Installed (desktop) software may be activated (that is, bound to a specific device) and used on the number of devices per seat that the Company sets for each plan; devices may be changed within the number of changes the Company allows, using the device release and re-activation features the Company provides. Users may keep backup copies of the installer and license file for archival purposes, but may not use backup copies to increase the number of activations or provide them to third parties. When the license ends (expiry of the term, cancellation, or revocation), the user must stop using and delete the installed software and all copies.
The Company may provide updates to fix errors or improve features, and these Terms apply to updated software as well. Updates and support for subscription Products are provided during the term, and the Company gives advance notice before ending support for a particular product or version. When the license ends, access to the software and the Service stops, so users should save their own output before then; retention and destruction of the account, subscription, and license records the Company holds are governed by Section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Subscription Term and Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions run for the term selected by the user (monthly or annual). Unless cancelled before period end, a subscription renews automatically for the same product and term length, and the next term is charged to the registered payment method.
Who charges the renewal depends on the payment route — the Company for transactions within the Republic of Korea, and the Merchant of Record (Paddle) for international transactions.
Users may stop automatic renewal (cancel) at any time; the method and effect are set out in Article 9.
8. Advance Notice of Renewal and Price Changes
The Company notifies the user by email, at least 7 days before the scheduled renewal date, of the charge date, the amount, and how to cancel.
If the renewal price increases, the Company gives notice of the new amount, when it applies, how to consent and how to cancel, and charges the increased price only after obtaining the user's prior consent. If the user does not consent before the renewal date, the increased price is not charged and the subscription expires at the end of the current term.
If the renewal price decreases or is unchanged, the notice under paragraph 1 suffices.
For international transactions, the Merchant of Record (Paddle) carries out this notice and consent process under its own policy.
9. Cancellation and When It Takes Effect
Users may cancel a subscription at any time during the term.
Cancellation takes effect from the next renewal date — no further charges occur, and access continues through the end of the term already paid for.
Cancellation alone therefore does not refund amounts already paid. Refunds in cases qualifying for withdrawal are governed by Article 13 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
In addition to cancellation at period end, a user on an annual subscription may request mid-term cancellation at any time during the term. On mid-term cancellation, access ends as soon as the request is confirmed and the Company refunds the fee for the remaining term on a pro-rata basis. The Company may deduct a cancellation charge and an amount corresponding to the use already provided, within the limits set by the Korean Consumer Dispute Resolution Criteria.
Mid-term cancellation is requested through customer support (support@aroaduser.com); the refund calculation and procedure follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Monthly subscriptions are cancelled at period end under paragraph 2.
A subscription with no payment method on file expires at period end with no further charge. The Company gives advance email notice before such expiry.
10. Plan Changes (Upgrade and Downgrade)
Upgrade: only the prorated difference for the time remaining on the previous plan is charged immediately, and the billing cycle (the next renewal date) stays unchanged. The full price of the higher plan is not charged again, and the term does not restart on the day of the change.
The Company shows that difference and the unchanged next renewal date on the upgrade confirmation screen and charges only after the user agrees.
Downgrade: takes effect from the next renewal date after the current term ends; the previous plan continues until then. No additional charge and no refund of any difference arises.
The same applies to changing the number of seats on a multi-seat (team) subscription. Adding seats charges only the prorated difference for the time remaining on the current term immediately, with the billing cycle (the next renewal date) unchanged; removing seats takes effect from the next renewal date, and no difference is refunded.
For a subscription with no payment method on file (one purchased with a one-time payment for the term), an upgrade works differently from the paragraphs above. When the user requests the plan change through customer support (support@aroaduser.com) and pays the full price of the higher plan as a new purchase, the term of the higher plan starts anew on the day of that payment, and the Company refunds the part of the amount paid for the previous plan that corresponds to the remaining term (from the day of the new payment to the end of the previous term), calculated on a pro-rata basis with no cancellation charge or other deduction. The refund method and timeline follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Such a subscription cannot be downgraded during the term. After it expires at period end, the user may purchase a lower plan as a new purchase; no difference is refunded.
11. Failed Renewal Charges and End of Access
If a renewal charge fails, the Company retries it up to a set number of attempts and emails the user each time with the failure and how to update the payment method.
If all retries fail, the subscription expires and access under that license ends.
No separate grace period is provided for unpaid terms. Users may register a payment method and start a new subscription at any time.
12. Seats, Transfer, and Revocation
A license may be used only by the user (or members the user designates) within the contracted number of seats; concurrent use beyond that number is not permitted.
Users may not transfer, lend, resell, or pledge a license to any third party without the Company's written consent.
Seat assignment and reassignment for multi-seat (team) purchases are available to the extent the Company provides those features.
- The Company may revoke a license where withdrawal or a refund has completed, where payment is cancelled or charged back, or where the obligations in Articles 6 and 15 are materially breached (such as unauthorized sharing, circumvention, or copying of a license key).
- Before revoking a license the Company notifies the user of the ground and how to respond; in urgent cases, such as a payment cancellation or chargeback, notice is given without delay after revocation.
- A revoked license ends the right of use and is not reissued under the same payment.
- Where a revocation resulted from the Company's error, the Company restores the license without delay.
13. Withdrawal and Refunds
The conditions and procedure for withdrawal and refunds are governed by the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy (https://www.astruttie.com/refund).
Cancelling a subscription (Article 9) stops future charges; a refund returns amounts already paid. They are not the same thing.
14. Personal Data and Minimum Age
The Company protects users' personal data under applicable law; details are in the Privacy Policy (https://www.astruttie.com/privacy).
The Service is available only to persons aged 14 or older. The Company does not collect personal data of children under 14 and deletes such data without delay if it learns that it has been collected.
15. User Obligations
- Provide accurate information required for payment and contact.
- Do not use another person's payment method or information without authorization.
- Do not use the Service or license for any unlawful purpose.
16. Limitation of Liability
The Company is not liable for damages arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, such as force majeure or outages of payment gateways or carriers.
The Company's liability is limited to ordinary damages; it is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or for lost profits, including any such damages arising from the use of or inability to use the software.
The Company's aggregate liability is capped at the amount the user actually paid for the affected product during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the damage, or KRW 1,000,000 (USD 700 for international payments), whichever is greater.
The two preceding paragraphs do not apply to damages caused by the Company's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that may not be limited by law.
This Article does not limit any right a consumer has under applicable law.
Matters not provided for in these Terms are governed by applicable law and commercial practice.
17. Nature of the Software and the User's Duty to Review
The software provided through the Service is a tool that assists structural design; it does not replace the knowledge, experience or judgement of an engineer.
The software is intended for use by engineers with relevant professional experience and qualifications.
Before relying on any result produced by the software, the User shall review its validity. Responsibility for reviewing, interpreting and using the results rests with the User.
Output of the software does not by itself constitute a completed engineering design and must be reviewed by a qualified engineer.
This Article does not restrict who may use the Service, nor does it invalidate any contract with a User who lacks such qualifications.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service and the software are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"; the Company does not warrant that the Service will be provided without interruption.
The Company makes no express or implied warranty as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfaction of the User's requirements, or error-free operation.
This Article does not limit any right a consumer has under applicable law.
19. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
For disputes between the Company and a consumer, the competent court is the district court having jurisdiction over the consumer's address at the time the action is filed, in accordance with Article 36 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce; where the address or residence is unclear, that same Article applies.
For disputes with a user who purchased for business purposes, the competent court is the court having jurisdiction over the Company's principal place of business.
Before litigation, users may seek resolution through support (support@aroaduser.com), or apply to the Korea Consumer Agency for consumer counselling and redress, or to the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee for mediation. This paragraph does not limit the user's right to bring an action.
