Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-30 · published 2026-09-30 · version refund@2026-09-30

Language versions: the Korean version applies to users residing in the Republic of Korea and the English version to all other users (Terms of Service, Article 3(3)).

This policy governs withdrawal and refunds under Korean consumer-protection law for e-commerce. The products sold are digital software licenses.

1. Withdrawal Period

You may withdraw your purchase within 14 days of the later of the payment date or the date the license became available.

Refunds within this period are in full, regardless of whether the license key has been issued, activated or used.

2. Limits for Digital Content

A license is "digital content"; once its provision has begun with your consent (license key issued / activation started), withdrawal may be restricted under applicable law.

The Company does not apply this limit to you: within 14 days of the later of the payment date or the date the license became available, we refund the full amount regardless of use.

3. Full Refund Cases

  • Within 14 days of the later of the payment date or the date the license became available (regardless of use)
  • The product is defective or malfunctions due to the Company's fault
  • The product differs from its description/advertising or from the agreed terms
  • The Company discontinues the Service, or fails to provide it for a substantial period through no fault of the user — in which case the fee for the remaining term is refunded on a pro-rata basis

4. Refunds for International Payments (Paddle)

For transactions outside Korea, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment and refunds.

You can request a refund on Paddle's buyer support site (https://paddle.net) by looking up your order with the email used at checkout and choosing "Request refund", or through the links in the receipt and subscription emails sent by Paddle. You may also contact the Company's support (section 7 below), in which case the Company processes the refund through Paddle.

Refunds through Paddle follow Paddle's refund policy and this policy; approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (the time for the reversal to appear depends on the card issuer). The statutory withdrawal rights of users residing in the Republic of Korea also apply to international payments.

5. Refund Method and Timeline

Refunds are, in principle, reversed to the original payment method.

The Company executes the refund on the day the request is received, and no later than 24 hours after it (the Company's own commitment, ahead of the statutory 3 business days); the time for a card reversal to appear depends on the card issuer and payment provider.

Once a refund is completed, the right to use the license ends and the subscription is cancelled immediately.

6. Cancellation Is Not a Refund

Cancelling a subscription stops charges from the next renewal onward, and access continues through the end of the term already paid for. Cancellation alone therefore does not refund amounts already paid (cases qualifying for withdrawal under sections 1-3 above are separate).

An annual subscription may be cancelled mid-term. In that case access ends as soon as the request is confirmed and the fee for the remaining term is refunded on a pro-rata basis. The Company may deduct a cancellation charge and an amount corresponding to the use already provided, within the limits set by the Korean Consumer Dispute Resolution Criteria; requests follow section 7 below (Terms of Service, Article 9).

Monthly subscriptions are cancelled at period end, and no partial or pro-rata refund is provided for a term already elapsed or used (full refunds within 14 days under section 1 are separate).

On an upgrade, only the prorated difference for the time remaining on the previous plan is charged immediately and the billing cycle (the next renewal date) stays unchanged — this is an adjustment to the amount charged, not a refund. On a downgrade, the change takes effect at the next renewal and no difference is refunded (Terms of Service, Article 10). The same applies to adding or removing seats on a multi-seat (team) subscription.

A subscription with no payment method on file (one purchased with a one-time payment) is upgraded differently: when the user requests the plan change through customer support and purchases the higher plan anew, the part of the amount paid for the previous plan that corresponds to the remaining term is refunded on a pro-rata basis with no cancellation charge or other deduction. Such a subscription cannot be downgraded during the term, and no difference is refunded (Terms of Service, Article 10).

Where a subscription expires because renewal charges finally failed, no amount was charged and so nothing is refundable.

7. How to Request

You can request a refund in either of two ways. (a) The "Request refund" link in your order email — your order is already identified, so the request completes without any further documents. (b) The support email below — just tell us your order number or the payment email. You do not have to explain your reason. For international payments (Paddle) you may also use the Paddle paths in section 4 above; for domestic payments, the Company cancels the payment.

Most requests are processed immediately; where a check is needed, the Company still executes the refund on the day of receipt and no later than 24 hours after it, and notifies you of the outcome by email (section 5 above). If processing is going to take longer, we tell you by email beforehand. The right to use a refunded license ends (Terms of Service, Article 12).

Cancelling a subscription (stopping charges from the next renewal, section 6 above) is not a refund request; you can do it yourself in the product and subscription settings of your account. For subscriptions paid through the overseas payment provider (Paddle), however, cancellation is currently requested through support (support@aroaduser.com), and we cancel the payment provider's subscription as part of that request. Mid-term cancellation of an annual subscription is requested through support in the same way as for domestic payments above (Terms of Service, Article 9).
