I already own a desktop AStrutTie license — how do I get the 3 months free on the web edition?

Existing AStrutTie owners get 3 months free on the web edition. Email support@aroaduser.com from your registered address with your existing license details (license key or the order/company it was issued to); we verify it and enable the web edition for 3 months at no charge. There is no automatic billing at the end of the free period — we contact you first, and it continues only with your explicit consent.

What is the difference between Beginning Mode and Modeling Mode?

Those two modes belong to the previous desktop generation: Beginning Mode fixed the design conditions — geometry, static loads, boundary conditions, materials, and load combinations — and Modeling Mode consumed them to build and analyze the strut-tie model (FE stress field, truss). The new AStrutTie keeps the same two-step logic — conditions first, then the model built on them — but in a single workspace, without a mode switch.

My loads don't show up in ESO / Stress Flow.

ESO and Stress Flow run per load combination, not per raw load case. Check that (1) the load is included in the load combination you are viewing, and (2) the concrete area has been created so the plane-stress model exists — stress results only appear once the area does.

What are the units of the ESO / Stress Flow contour legend?

The contours show principal stresses in the model's stress units (e.g. MPa when working in kN·m). Vector length and color indicate relative magnitude along the principal directions — use them to read the load path, and the tabular results for exact values.

Truss analysis finishes but results look wrong (asymmetric / zero members).

Almost always a modeling issue rather than a solver issue: check restraint symmetry, duplicated or unconnected nodes, and that every member is actually connected at shared nodes. A symmetric structure with symmetric loads and supports produces symmetric member forces — if it doesn't, the model differs somewhere. If it persists, send us the model file.

Why can I edit static loads only in some load cases?

A static load belongs to the load case where it was defined; other cases reference it through combinations. Edit the load in its owning load case, or add a separate load in the case you are working in.
